rachel

rachel has been farming in new england for the past eight years.  she came to farming in a roundabout way, through the path of social and political activism.  rachel was slowly drawn to local organic agriculture as both a tool to effect community change and a lifestyle that emphasized those things that were important to her--being outdoors, conserving natural resources, working alongside lots of different people, and of course, eating good food! she worked on vegetable farms in massachusetts for a few years before moving up to maine to manage a large csa.  enjoying the farming and social communities here, she found this land and began her own business.  she enjoys being a part of the farming community here and wants the farm to be a place of rest and meeting for family and community members.  she also really enjoys being close enough to the ocean to go swimming and surfing...when she gets a bit of time!
